🌟 Member Spotlight: Getting to Know Earl Shipley III

πŸ“Where I’m From & About Me
I grew up in a very small farming town in Southern Illinois where I got into a little mischief, drank way too much beer and worked my tail off.  My wife and I currently reside nearby in Salem, Illinois. I work for a Houston based Energy Company called Energy Transfer that has a large scale crude oil storage facility near Salem.  For the past 14 years I have worked as a Console Operator for that facility. Working only two weeks out of the month affords me a lot of time for, of course, bourbon hunting, golfing, distillery trips and as many vacations in and out of the country as we can fit in.

✨What Inspired Me to Join
I’ve always had a drive to contribute and to help someone in need, so when I heard rumors that this organization was going to be created and filled with like minded bourbon lovers like me I had to get on board.

πŸ’™Cause Closest to My Heart
My heart spans across all of our fantastic charities.

πŸŽ‰Favorite Memory with Barrels for Hope
Beside the obvious of helping those in need, meeting our members and sharing amazing experiences and stories with them has been the highlight of this organization so far.

🀝What Giving Back Means to Me
It gives me a sense of fulfillment, knowing that even though it may only be a small impact, I’m helping to make life a little easier for individuals and families in need.
